Opposition figure Gulu Mammadli stated that the arrest of Ali Karimli, leader of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), was expected, but the reasons go beyond simple criticism of the authorities. According to Mammadli, Karimli's publications in major Western media have increased his political significance and visibility abroad, which has caused concern among the Azerbaijani authorities.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the country's gradual lifting of the blockade. Speaking at an international forum in Tbilisi, he welcomed Azerbaijan's decision to lift export restrictions and thanked President Ilham Aliyev for this.
Pashinyan also emphasized that this is proof of the effectiveness of the Washington agreements, refuting claims that they are not yielding tangible results.
Earlier, the Armenian prime minister stated Armenia's readiness to ensure transit for the construction of pipelines and power lines from Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan, as well as along the Azerbaijan-Armenia-Turkey route. He also expressed political readiness to establish a railway connection between Turkey, Nakhichevan, and Azerbaijan, acknowledging the need for infrastructure repair and restoration.
