The natural disaster that struck the North Caucasus and southern Russia continues to cause serious damage. Flooded homes, hail-destroyed crops, overturned ships, and human tragedies—the consequences of this unruly weather are becoming increasingly tangible.
Pashinyan offered Azerbaijan to start relations with a "clean slate"
Speaking at the Atlantic Council in Washington, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that it was possible to agree on sensitive topics in the draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan, and "this is the cornerstone of future peace."
"Now peace is more than achievable, and now all that is needed is the political will to complete and sign the draft peace treaty and achieve lasting peace," Pashinyan said.
According to him, the two countries agreed to recognize each other's territorial integrity based on the borders of Soviet Armenia and Soviet Azerbaijan and agreed on the absence of territorial claims against each other and not to present them in the future. Pashinyan also noted that Armenia and Turkey have never been in such an active dialogue as they are now, and there are no obstacles to contacts.
