Pashinyan told Turkish media about relations with the EU and Azerbaijan

Armenia is pursuing a balanced foreign policy, developing relations with the European Union and Russia within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in an interview with Turkish media.

According to him, despite the deepening of ties with the EU, Armenia does not intend to oppose them to other partnerships. Pashinyan noted that within the framework of the democratic procedure, a bill was submitted, supported by about 50 thousand signatures. It expresses Armenia's political interest in the process of integration into the EU.

In response to questions about the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan, Pashinyan said that Armenia is ready to establish transport and economic ties on the condition of respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stressed that, despite the existing difficulties, the signed document on the demarcation of borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan is an important step towards peace.

The Armenian Prime Minister also noted that Türkiye plays an important role in supporting stability in the South Caucasus and confirmed its readiness to facilitate the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
