Pashinyan reproached Russian peacekeepers for their failure to protect the residents of Karabakh

The Russian peacekeeping contingent, within the framework of its obligations, did not protect the civilian population of Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

“Russian peacekeeping forces were sent to Nagorno-Karabakh to protect civilians. Where are the civilians now? – Pashinyan asked in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.

Let us recall that on September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan launched an “anti-terrorist operation” in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. As a result, the region became part of Azerbaijan and most of the Armenian population – over 100 thousand people – left it.
