Russia has stated its readiness to consider joining the TRIPP project (the transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan). Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced at a briefing that Moscow is interested in participating and is prepared to offer Russian Railways' expertise for the project's implementation.
Speaking in parliament, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that there will be no war with Azerbaijan.
“There is no reason for war. The peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan deserve peace. And there is no need to make statements that could jeopardize the peace agenda,” Pashinyan said.
According to him, Armenia is ready to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan and dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group. At the same time, he rejected Baku’s demand to change the constitution, stating that the document does not contain territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
In January, the Armenian Prime Minister published his proposals for achieving peace with Azerbaijan. Among other things, he indicated the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group (which includes Russia) and the conclusion of a peace treaty.
In addition, the Armenian leader noted the need for mutual renunciation of bellicose rhetoric and claims, including in international courts. In addition, he proposed introducing joint mechanisms for investigating violations of the ceasefire and arms control.
