A criminal case has been opened against Mansur Gneev, a Muslim blogger from the Krasnodar Krai who was arrested for allegedly criticizing the "Russian Community." A linguistic examination has been ordered based on his statements.

According to his lawyer, he saw no signs of extremism in Gneev's video. It was previously reported that the blogger was beaten during the search and arrest, and that he developed health problems in pretrial detention.

A criminal case has been opened against 23-year-old Gneev on charges of extremism based on a video posted on his YouTube channel. In one of his videos, he criticized the nationalist organization "Russian Community." This organization, active since 2020 and intensified in 2024, is known for its anti-immigrant protests and possible ties to Russian security forces.

The Georgian Central Election Commission reported that representatives of the ruling party received the majority of votes in the local elections. Thus, incumbent Mayor Kakha Kaladze was re-elected for a third term (71.58% of the vote), Nino Latsabidze became Mayor of Rustavi (91.933%), Davit Eremeishvili became Mayor of Kutaisi (85.649%), and Giorgi Tsintsadze became Mayor of Batumi (80.616%). According to the Central Election Commission, Beka Vacharadze, the Georgian Dream mayoral candidate for Poti, received 100% of the vote.
