The Kyiv District Court of Simferopol remanded four Crimean Tatar women: Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova, and Fevziye Osmanova, in pretrial detention for two months. The hearing was held behind closed doors, with limited access for support.

A court in Astrakhan has tightened the detention regime for a native of Ingushetia, Abdul-Malik Albagachiev. From the general regime he was transferred to the prison in IK-10. The man had previously been tortured.
The colony (IK-10) petitioned for the transfer of Albagachiev to the prison regime, calling the prisoner a malicious violator, as the Public Verdict Foundation reported today on its website.
“Albagachiyeva recognized IK-10 as a malicious violator after she applied disciplinary sanctions against him one after another,” explains lawyer Dmitry Yegoshin, who, with the support of the Public Verdict, is working on this case. - We consider these penalties illegal and will now appeal them to the Magassky District Court of Ingushetia. Therefore, until the court has made a decision on our claim, it is wrong to recognize the defendant as a malicious violator and to toughen his conditions of detention. However, the Sovetsky District Court of Astrakhan did not hear these arguments.”
Abdul-Malik Albagachiev suffers from epilepsy and headaches. Before his arrest, he was an absolutely healthy person, according to his mother. The man was convicted in 2018. He was charged with participation in an illegal armed group in Syria. A confession of guilt was beaten out by torture. The man pleaded not guilty.
