After the amnesty of Prigozhin and the Wagnerites, the Council of Teips of Ingushetia called for the release of protesters

The council of teips of the Ingush people appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin. He called for the release of the activists of the "Ingush case" after the termination of criminal prosecution and the amnesty of the members of the PMC "Wagner" and its leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

According to the applicants, the Ingush activists are imprisoned for significantly lesser offenses. Recall that Prigozhin and other Wagnerites managed to escape punishment for the armed rebellion on June 24, the capture of two cities and the murder of several pilots.

The brother of the political prisoner Akhmed Pogorov, Magomed Pogorov, spoke on behalf of the Council. He said that people in Ingushetia who asked to protect their rights and observe the law have been imprisoned for more than four years without guilt. He also drew attention to the fact that Eid al-Adha, a big Muslim holiday, is about to begin, and asked the president to "release innocent people."

The defendants in the "Ingush case" protested against the "Boundary Agreements". The rally on March 27, 2019 in Magas ended in clashes between civilians and security forces. Seven protest leaders were found guilty of organizing violence against the security forces and creating an extremist community. They were sentenced to terms ranging from seven to nine years in prison.
