Major General Vladimir Kotov, previously deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Voronezh Region, has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia. The ceremony to introduce the new head of the department was held in Magas.

In Russia, after the introduction of fines for searching for "extremist materials", there has been a sharp increase in queries on this topic in the Google and Yandex search services. Among the prohibited songs, for which fines of 3 to 5 thousand rubles are provided since September 1, is the song "Jerusalem" by the Chechen bard Timur Mutsuraev. It is noteworthy that the composition is featured in Alexei Balabanov's film "War", has a distribution certificate from the Ministry of Culture and is available in online cinemas.
Also on the list of prohibited materials is a poster with an image of a man resembling Vladimir Putin with makeup, and an article "The Basic Commandments of Jesus Christ".
Timur Mutsuraev gained fame during the first Russian-Chechen war, performing songs in English about war, brotherhood and duty. Later, serious motives appeared in his work. The list of extremist songs includes about 30 of his more than 100 compositions, which, according to the official decisions, are aimed at inciting ethnic hatred and promote separatism and terrorism.
