Georgian Prime Minister says there are risks of terrorist attacks due to the Russian-Ukrainian war

There are risks of terrorist attacks in Georgia as long as the conflict with Russia continues in Ukraine. This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

"As long as the context remains like this, the risks of terrorist attacks will remain in our country. According to our calculations and hopes, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict will end next year," the Prime Minister said, answering questions about the danger of terrorist attacks and the case of the preparation of the murder of billionaire and founder of the ruling party Bidzina Ivanishvili.

When asked why Ivanishvili could have become the target of the attack, Irakli Kobakhidze replied: "For one simple reason: he is the main guarantor of the fact that there is peace in this country and the country is developing steadily. Therefore, it is absolutely logical that he was the main addressee of these plans."

Earlier, he noted that as soon as the regional and global situation becomes healthier, this will directly affect the improvement of Georgia's relations with the European Union and the United States.
