A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili supported the people of Ukraine during her speech in the European Parliament.
“I want to express here my personal admiration for President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people. I believe that in the near future both our countries will have their representatives in this hall,” the Georgian leader noted.
According to Zurabishvili, Ukraine not only defends its territory, but also “sheds blood for each of us.” The President also said that the Russian Federation is trying to create a tense situation in Georgia by restoring direct flights and introducing a visa-free regime.
Addressing the MEPs, Zurabishvili reminded that, being a member of Saakashvili's government, she participated in the withdrawal of Russian troops from Georgia. But just three years later, in August 2008, Russian tanks returned to the country. The president considers giving Georgia the status of a candidate for EU membership a way out for Georgia.
