The political party led by former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has decided to retake parliamentary seats. This was announced at a briefing by one of its leaders, Giorgi Sharashidze, and later by the party's leader.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, speaking at Europe Day, said that being a civil servant does not mean slavery and that one must serve not the party, but the people. The ambassadors of EU countries to Georgia were present on stage with the president.
In addition, Zurabishvili noted that violence against opponents of the government, attacks and threats are actions characteristic of an authoritarian regime.
“We see violence: beating of opponents, intimidation, dispersal of demonstrations, repression and other brutal methods. This has nothing to do with Europe, these are actions characteristic of an authoritarian regime,” the head of state emphasized.
Two of the six people detained at a protest in Tbilisi against the law on foreign agents will remain in prison until the end of the investigation. The country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this. The detainees are accused of assaulting police officers and damaging property.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze addressed an open letter to young people. In his opinion, aggressive youth organizations, financed with opaque money from foreign donors, are active at rallies against the law on foreign agents in Tbilisi.
Today the opposition announced a new action “Light up Georgia”. Exactly at 23:59, residents are invited to go out onto the street, onto the balconies of their houses, or go to the windows and light the flashlights on their mobile phones to jointly express solidarity with Europe.
