The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
The President of Ukraine thanked his Georgian counterpart for her words of support on the 1000th day of the war
Ukraine appreciates Georgia's support and hopes for a peaceful and successful future for both our countries. This was written by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who thanked the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili for her words of support on the 1000th day since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
Earlier, Zurabishvili made a statement on this occasion: "Ukrainian friends, you have been fighting for the defense of your country, your independence, your freedom for 1000 days. You are waging this fight on behalf of all Europeans who want to protect their freedom from Russian imperialism, from Russia's attempts to subjugate and annex the territories of others, neighbors."
Recall that the President of Georgia filed a lawsuit with the country's Constitutional Court demanding that the parliamentary elections be recognized as unconstitutional. According to the Central Election Commission report, the ruling Georgian Dream party, which many consider authoritarian and “pro-Russian,” received the majority of votes.
