Putin does not intend to meet with the Armenian Prime Minister who arrived in Moscow
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in Moscow to participate in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. However, a meeting with him is not included in the plans of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The parties will consider deepening economic integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Recently, Nikol Pashinyan said that his country "considers itself outside the CSTO." According to him, returning to the organization is no longer possible, the point of no return has been crossed.

In February, Pashinyan announced the freezing of Armenia's participation in the CSTO "due to the failure to implement the collective security treaty" in relation to the country. On May 8, the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that Yerevan would not participate in the approval of the CSTO annual budget and the financing of the organization. Later, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that, despite this refusal, Armenia retains financial obligations in accordance with the organization’s Charter.
