During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
A criminal case was opened against a feminist, a native of the KBR, Zalina Marshenkulova, for “justifying terrorism.” According to investigators, she posted publications in the public channel of the Telegram messenger that justified the murder of the Russian “military correspondent” Vladlen Tatarsky.
In her Telegram channel “Women’s Power,” Marshenkulova published several posts about Tatarsky’s death, in which she called him a “zombie” and a “bandit,” citing his quote about the war against Ukraine: “We will defeat everyone, we will kill everyone, we will rob everyone we need.” . Everything will be as we like."
The activist also called sympathy for the death of “a cannibal, an aggressor, a former robber, who supported the murders in Ukraine, which did nothing to anyone, hypocrisy.”
If Marshenkulova is found guilty, she faces up to seven years in prison. They plan to arrest her in absentia - she is not in Russia.
Zalina Marshenkulova was born in Baksan, graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, and is the founder of the Telegram channel “Women’s Power”.
