In honor of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, March 19, 20, and 21 have been declared days off in Ingushetia. According to the head of the republic, Makhmud-Ali Klimatov, this decision was made to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which began on February 17.
Russian President Vladimir Putin came to the conclusion that Moscow and Baku should move towards normalizing bilateral relations. He stated this at a press conference following his visit to China, TASS reports.
According to the Russian leader, during events in Beijing dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, he briefly spoke with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his wife.
"There are problems, but today President Aliyev and I greeted each other, I greeted him and his wife. We exchanged a few words," Putin shared.
Commenting on the state of diplomacy between the two countries, the head of the Kremlin emphasized that in international politics, questions inevitably arise related to current circumstances or the situation. At the same time, he expressed confidence that the solid foundation of Russian-Azerbaijani relations and mutual interest in their development will help smooth out all contradictions.
