The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."

Grozny took second place with an indicator of 1.9 sq. m per person. First on the list is Krasnodar (2.3 sq. m). Stavropol is in 13th place (1.075 sq. m), Nalchik is in 27th place (0.898 sq. m), Makhachkala is in 35th place (0.711 sq. m).
The lowest volumes of housing commissioning per capita are in Novokuznetsk, Magadan and Murmansk, where the figure was less than 0.1 sq. m. In 2024, 107.8 million square meters of housing were commissioned in Russia, which is 2.4% lower than the previous year.
