Ramazanov officially heads the government of Dagestan

The People's Assembly of Dagestan approved the appointment of Magomed Ramazanov as chairman of the regional government. Acting Head of Dagestan Fyodor Shchukin presented the candidate.

The 81 deputies present at the meeting voted for Ramazanov, according to the press service of the head of the republic.

Commenting on his appointment, Magomed Ramazanov noted that he has received numerous requests from current officials asking him to retain their positions.

"I am always open, always committed to working together, but I am strict in my work. And I want to point out that today, a change of power is taking place, yet many are trying to call and plead for someone in order to remain in power. For me, this is not an indicator. For me, the first indicators are professionalism, responsibility, and integrity. These are the main indicators in personnel matters. Therefore, I am ready to cooperate and speak the same language with everyone who wants the best for the republic," Ramazanov said.

As a reminder, on May 6, Fyodor Shchukin dismissed the government of Dagestan and simultaneously appointed Magomed Ramazanov as acting prime minister. Prior to this, Ramazanov served as deputy presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, then held a similar position in the presidential envoy's office for the North Caucasus Federal District. He also has experience in the Federal Security Service.
