Russia rejects accusations of interference in politics and elections in Georgia
Accusations of Russia's interference in Georgia's affairs are absolutely groundless. Moscow has no diplomatic relations with Tbilisi. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

According to her, only the West interferes in Georgia's politics, while Russia is developing mainly trade, economic and humanitarian ties with the country, with whose people it is "united by a common history, culture, close ties, contacts between people."

Earlier, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, as well as the opposition and international observers expressed concern about the falsification of the parliamentary elections held on October 26. The ruling Georgian Dream party won them. Its founder, oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili, is often called a pro-Russian figure, moreover, he previously had Russian citizenship. The European Union and the United States called for a thorough investigation into the violations of the voting procedure.
