For seven days now, tens of thousands of volunteers from across the North Caucasus have been searching for little hero Khizir Derbichev, who was swept away by the powerful current of the Sunzha River near the village of Yandare in the Nazran District of Ingushetia. Despite fatigue, icy water, and challenging conditions, the men are carefully surveying the underwater area and the shoreline, searching under rocks, trees, and slabs.
Russia "threatened" Armenia with debts on contributions to the CSTO
Armenia has debts on contributions to the CSTO for 2024, and the deadline for repayment expires in 2025. Armenia may not pay this debt for two years, but then appropriate decisions will be made. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin.
The other day, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that his country "considers itself outside the CSTO." According to him, returning to the organization is no longer possible, the point of no return has been crossed.
In February, Pashinyan announced the freezing of Armenia's participation in the CSTO "due to failure to fulfill the collective security treaty" in relation to the country. On May 8, the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that Yerevan would not participate in the approval of the annual budget of the CSTO and the financing of the organization. Later, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that, despite this refusal, Armenia retains financial obligations in accordance with the Charter of the organization.
