A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.

A Russian serviceman has publicly apologized and refuted his words that the Chechen Akhmat unit did not engage in combat with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and that conscripts had to stop the Ukrainians.
“I wanted to explain the situation with Kursk and about Akhmat. What I said. Akhmat is the only one with conscripts now, there are no contract soldiers there, conscripts complain that they are alone and only Akhmat is helping them. I apologize for the misunderstanding, my words were misunderstood,” the young man said.
Earlier, Akhmat special forces commander Apti Alaudinov said that his fighters did not engage in combat with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region because the Ukrainians bypassed their positions. Today, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov promised “good results” in the region “within two or three days.”
