Salome Zurabishvili and Giorgi Gakharia were pelted with eggs at the Tbilisi airport
The fifth president of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, was pelted with eggs at the Tbilisi airport. This information, accompanied by a video, was distributed through local Telegram channels. It is noted that the incident occurred upon Zurabishvili's return from the Munich Security Conference. In the video, insults can be heard addressed to her: "traitor", "sellout", "you are a slave and will remain a slave".

On February 17, a similar incident occurred with the leader of the opposition party "Gakharia - For Georgia". Giorgi Gakharia was present at the event in Germany together with Zurabishvili.

The Georgian leaders who were "attacked", as well as the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs, have not yet commented on the incident.

On February 13, the European Parliament adopted a resolution "On the further deterioration of the political situation in Georgia". The document condemns the "officials" of the Georgian Dream party and calls on them to "immediately stop the brutal repression against peaceful protesters, political opponents and media representatives." In the resolution, the EP recognizes the fifth president Salome Zurabishvili as the only legitimate representative of the Georgian government and calls on the international community to join the boycott of the "self-proclaimed" government formed by the ruling party.
