Media: Armenian Prime Minister will not go to Putin’s inauguration

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan does not plan to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 7. In this way, he wants to show that Yerevan is dissatisfied with Moscow, Armenian media report.

It is noted that Pashinyan will fly to Moscow only on May 8 to participate in the 10th summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and will not attend the Victory Day parade on May 9.

Earlier, Pashinyan announced the departure of Russian peacekeepers from the Tavush region and the imminent departure of Russian border guards from the Yerevan airport. Armenia has repeatedly pointed out the inability of Russian troops to provide support. As a result, Yerevan began to move away from Moscow and actually stopped military-political cooperation with it. Armenian officials have repeatedly named European countries and the United States as priority partners and allies.
