Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

19-year-old Yasin Khalidov is kept in the Omsk police department. A native of Chechnya was detained while trying to leave Russia. He can be taken to Chechnya, where he is in danger. This was reported by columnist Elena Milashina.
According to the journalist, in September 2022, Khalidov was sent to Ukraine to "SVO" as a member of the Chechen police, where he spent four months. He tried to resign from the service, but he was refused. Upon his return from Ukraine, Khalidov was detained. He was threatened that if he did not stop his attempts to quit, he would be prosecuted for terrorism.
At the end of January, Khalidov managed to escape from Chechnya. According to Novaya Gazeta, he turned to Chechen bloggers Ibragim and Baysangur Yangulbaev for help. They promised to take him out of Russia in exchange for information he had about his service in the Chechen police and participation in the SVO. Having received the data, the bloggers, contrary to the agreement, immediately published them on their Telegram channel as the “investigation of the century.” Yasin Khalidov was detained in Omsk.
According to Novaya Gazeta, the Yangulbaevs commented on the situation to the human rights activists addressed by Khalidov: “If the Kadyrovites kill the Kadyrovtsy, then so be it.”
