Ramzan Kadyrov reported the destruction of three drones in Chechnya. He said one drone was shot down by Russian Aerospace Forces air defense forces over the territory of the neighboring republic, and two were shot down by mobile fire teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian National Guard directly over Chechnya.
The Georgian authorities can receive military support, economic assistance and visa liberalization from the United States. In return, it is important for Tbilisi to show progress on the path to democracy, POLITICO reports.
A military support package for Georgia could include the provision of security and defense capabilities ideal for territorial defense against Russian aggression. “However, the program will only be activated if the United States confirms that Georgia has demonstrated significant and sustained progress in restoring its democracy, as evidenced by, at a minimum, fair and free elections and a balanced pre-election environment,” the publication writes.
On May 24, a march against the law on foreign agents will take place in Tbilisi from Freedom Square to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs. With this march, those gathered will demonstrate solidarity with all those detained and injured during previous protests.
