Georgia and Azerbaijan are striving to simplify border crossings: the parties plan to introduce a single-window system at joint border crossings.

Georgia and the United States have a long history of strong ties between peoples, a history of deep relations, partnerships in the fields of medicine and education, and a history of helping each other strengthen their defense forces. Over more than 32 years, the United States has provided $6 billion in aid to Georgia. This was stated by US Ambassador to Georgia Robin Dunnigan, speaking at Ilia University.
“Misinformation is spreading in Georgia about what it means to become a member of the European Union. One of the misinformation is that it means giving up your identity, which is an absolute lie. It is enough to drive around the European Union and immediately understand when you have crossed the border and moved from one country to another. Unfortunately, misinformation is also spreading today about relations between the United States and Georgia. Some claim that we are a global war party and that we are trying to encourage revolution in this country, as if we have evil intentions. It’s really annoying to hear this,” the ambassador shared.
Dunnigan attended the opening of the US-funded Soviet Memory project. The project will combat Russian disinformation and historical revisionism and disseminate the truth about what happened in Georgia under Russian rule.
