The countries of the South Caucasus took 57th, 85th and 94th places in the ranking of army power

The Global Firepower (GFP) Research Center has presented a ranking of the most powerful armies in the world for 2023. In 1st place is the USA. The Russian Federation occupies the 2nd place, which caused bewilderment among many experts against the backdrop of unachieved publicly declared goals in the war with Ukraine. Ukraine itself is in 15th position (up five points compared to 2022).

The top ten also includes China, India, Great Britain, France, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Pakistan. Azerbaijan occupies the 57th line, Belarus - 60th, Georgia - 85th, Armenia - 94th.

The rating includes 145 countries. The country's military potential index (PowerIndex) is determined by 60 indicators, including the number of military units, the financial support of the army, and logistical capabilities.
