Crimean Tatar political prisoner has only 12 teeth left

Crimean Tatar Zavur Abdullaev, sentenced to 12 years in prison, has again complained about the lack of dental and other medical care in Vladimir Prison No. 2. He has only 12 teeth left.

According to his wife, the only “treatment” is the dentist’s recommendation to remove them. Zavur Abdullaev’s chronic diseases, diabetes and hypertension, have also worsened.

Zavur Abdullaev was sentenced to 12 years in prison in May 2023. The court found him guilty of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization and preparing to seize power for his alleged membership in the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is banned in the Russian Federation.

Before his arrest, Zavur Abdullaev took an active part in the public life of the Crimean Tatar people. He attended courts in Crimea and Rostov-on-Don on politically motivated cases, participated in flash mobs and various information initiatives in support of political prisoners.
