The Nalchik Garrison Military Court found serviceman Akromat Bersanov-Tsaroyev guilty of leaving his unit without leave (Part 5, Article 337 of the Russian Criminal Code). He was sentenced to five years and one month in prison.

Police officers searched the house of journalist Idris Yusupov in Makhachkala. A mobile phone and two laptops were confiscated from him. On October 30, 2023, FSB officers already conducted a search and took away similar items, which were returned only on March 18, the Memorial Human Rights Center reported.
After the search, Yusupov was taken to the Central Execution Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dagestan. The security forces were interested in the circumstances of the journalist’s transfer of funds to the Civic Assistance Committee. He explained that at the beginning of 2023, for several months, he participated in a project of this public organization to provide assistance to prisoners from the North Caucasus.
Previously, Yusupov was recognized as a foreign agent. The Ministry of Justice justified the inclusion of the journalist in this list by his participation in the creation of materials for foreign agents and the dissemination of false information about the authorities of the Russian Federation.
Idris Yusupov regularly holds pickets in support of his colleagues. In particular, he demands the release of political prisoner Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, sentenced to 17 years in prison. In addition, he opposed the mobilization of the residents of Dagestan to the “NWO”.
