The British Embassy in Georgia responded to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's statement that London should apologize for a "fake" spread by the BBC. This refers to the British Broadcasting Corporation's controversial report alleging that Georgian authorities used a World War I-era chemical weapon called "kamit" to suppress anti-government protests.

Around 14 hours in Alkhan-Yurt village of Urus-Martanovsky district, the Russian military shot and killed two young people.
The young people, who usually gather in the center of this settlement, approached Zaur Yusupovich Alihadzhiev, 1977 g.r., living on.H.Nurradilova Street. He was wearing a camouflage uniform. Never taking part in combat operations, in the period between the two wars, he was a member of the militarized protection of the Moscow businessman Malik Saidulayev and his family. According to relatives, shortly before the incident described, despite his illness (he hardly saw his left eye), the young man returned to his previous job.
From the cars «Zhiguli» and UAZ-452 (t.n. tablet) which arrived to this place, the Russian military ran out, shouted: «Lie down» and opened a warning shooting in the air. Many rushed to the ground. R.Baibatyrov, a minor resident of Urus-Martan (lived on Sportivnaya Street), who stayed in Alkhan-Yurt with relatives, was confused and remained standing. He was shot by the military.
Another man, a certain Elmurzaev, was wounded while lying on the ground. The bullet hit him in the leg.
Zaur Alihadzhiev rushed to the nearest house (according to other data, bakery). The soldiers opened fire with automatic rifles and killed him as he ran into the gate.
