War participant from Ingushetia sentenced to 10 years

The Sevastopol garrison military court found Ismail Dzangiev, a soldier from Ingushetia, guilty of attempting to assassinate a platoon commander after the death of his brother in a combat zone in Ukraine. The accused was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment.

29-year-old Sergeant Ismail Dzangiyev together with his 20-year-old brother Zelimkhan served in the SVO zone. According to the investigation, in March 2022, the military were ambushed, and during the exit from it, the younger brother died. After the fight, the older brother went to find the younger one, and when they were unsuccessful, criticized platoon commander Jan Larionov, who could not clearly explain where his subordinates were.
After an altercation, Dzangiev shot Larionov in the face with a pistol. Despite the seriousness of the injury, doctors managed to save him.
