Tbilisi protesters have not given up for the fourth night and are finding authoritative supporters
Large-scale protests in the Georgian capital have been going on for the fourth day. Demonstrators, standing on the steps of the parliament, are throwing stones and firecrackers at the security forces. In response, special forces, sitting behind the columns, generously spray the protesters with a water cannon: the water is icy, the air temperature in the city is approaching zero. Local media reports that detentions have begun near the parliament building again.

According to Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, the ruling party did not expect such a reaction from society and is completely confused. The head of state believes that the Georgian Dream was struck not so much by the rallies themselves, but by the fact that they find support in the business sector, the church and even government agencies. Thus, Georgia's largest banks, Bank of Georgia and TBC, as well as some telecom operators and reputable companies, expressed solidarity with the protesters. It is reported that Georgia's ambassadors to the United States, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Italy and Lithuania resigned in protest. In addition, the government's decision to freeze the country's European integration was publicly condemned by a number of Georgian civil servants, including employees of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense.

Earlier, the head of state called for pressure to be put on the Constitutional Court of Georgia to promptly consider the claim regarding mass violations in the parliamentary elections held on October 26.
