Over 130 protest participants detained in Armenia

Another protest against the return of Karabakh villages to Azerbaijan is taking place in Yerevan. Participants blocked roads with trash cans and benches. The police have already detained over 134 people.

Representatives of the Office of the Ombudsman of Armenia visited police stations. They visited the detainees and got acquainted with the situation regarding ensuring their rights.

Earlier, the organizer of the march from the Tavush region to the Armenian capital, Bagrat Galstanyan, called for the continuation of acts of disobedience. On May 9, he called for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to resign. Later, the activist said that he was discussing with members of the parliamentary opposition the impeachment of the head of the Armenian government.

Earlier, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported that Yerevan and Baku had previously agreed on delimitation on a separate section of the border. At the end of April, the first border pillar was installed on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
