Most applications for repatriation to Armenia come from Russia
The Center for Repatriation and Integration opened in Yerevan. Every day, it receives many applications and appeals from representatives of the Armenian diaspora from different countries.
The new structure will allow collecting accurate data on the number of repatriates. On average, 400-500 people turn to the Diaspora Office for help and advice every month. The most pressing issues are employment and housing.
In recent years, the geography of repatriation has changed: if earlier the majority of arrivals were from Syria and Lebanon, then from 2021, most of the applications come from Russia.
