Russia has stated its readiness to consider joining the TRIPP project (the transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan). Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced at a briefing that Moscow is interested in participating and is prepared to offer Russian Railways' expertise for the project's implementation.
The representative of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Ramid Namazov, said that the mission of the European Union is trying to create a spy network in Armenia in order to strengthen its influence in the region. According to him, since the arrival of the mission, according to satellite images, about 70 military facilities have been built and renovated on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
"Members of the mission hold meetings with young people in Armenian schools, conduct intelligence activities along the border with Azerbaijan. At the same time, in their statements, they claim that they are an unarmed, civilian mission and do not take any action against Azerbaijan," said the deputy at a public hearing in the parliament.
Earlier, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev criticized the monitoring mission of the EU. He stated that in reality it is an intelligence mission of the European Union.
"They stand day and night at our borders like spies, looking to see if they can sneak in from somewhere. We also have enough intelligence information about such a "surveillance mission," he emphasized.
