Turkey has abolished the "foreigner" status for citizens of Turkic states, signing a decree simplifying their employment. Now, residents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will be able to work and do business in Turkey without citizenship or special permits (except for military and security service).

Information has emerged about the tragic fate of hundreds of Azerbaijanis who participated in the Russian-Ukrainian war. As Musavat.com reports with reference to information received from the Russian Embassy, 772 Azerbaijanis are listed as missing. Their further fate remains unknown.
This alarming information was voiced by Rauf Arifoglu, head of the Yeni Müsavat media group, on the air of the Canlı debat program on TV Musavat. According to him, the Russian side attracted thousands of Azerbaijani citizens to participate in hostilities, presenting it as a volunteer mission and promising a monthly reward of 4,000 manats. The fate of many of them turned out to be tragic: they died in the very first clashes, and their bodies were found only months later.
Arifoglu emphasized that the motivation of these people was not to follow any political or ideological convictions, but solely to improve their difficult financial situation. According to him, the Russian army uses not only Azerbaijanis as “cheap manpower,” but also the poor from Central Asian countries, as well as Koreans.
