The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
The share of workers under 30 years of age in total employment in Chechnya in the last year was 26.4%. This indicator rose by 6.9 per cent over the year. Dagestan also registered an increase of up to 21.1% (+2.7% YoY) and Karachaevo-Cherkessia up to 17.9% (+7.2%).
At the same time, in Kabardino-Balkaria, the number of young workers accounted for 15.5 per cent of the total (minus 14.3 per cent per year), in Stavropol Krai - 15 per cent (minus 10.9 per cent), in North Ossetia - 15.5 per cent (minus 8.8 per cent), in Ingushetia - 16.5 per cent. Such data are specified in the report of the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza.
Overall, the number of workers under 30 years of age fell by 802,000 by the end of 2022. It fell to 14.9 per cent of all employees. These are the minimum values on the labour market since the early 1990s.
