Power structures of Chechnya and Omsk responded to the disappearance of the ex-policeman

Detained two months ago while trying to leave Russia for Kazakhstan, 20-year-old ex-silovik from Chechnya Yasin Khalidov is not kept in the police department of the Shali district of Chechnya. After the arrest, he was handed over to officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in one of the districts of the Omsk region, which, in turn, was reported by the border department of the FSB. Such answers were received by lawyer Alexander Nemov to inquiries regarding the whereabouts and procedural status of Yasin Khalidov.

According to human rights activists, Khalidov was handed over to security forces from Chechnya, and since then his fate is unknown. Previously, he tried to resign from the police, he was unofficially detained and threatened. Khalidov could have possessed information compromising the security forces, in particular, about employees of the Chechen Center for Economic Crimes and the FSB. We are talking about kidnappings, torture and falsification of criminal cases (including those against Ukrainians in the occupied territories), executions, and organization of terrorist attacks.
