Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

The search for 7-year-old Dzhabrail Mudaev from the village of Verkhniy Naur has ended in Chechnya. Early in the morning of August 8, the child left home and did not return, and for several days rescuers and volunteers surveyed the area along the Terek River using aircraft.
More than three thousand people took part in the search, including ground teams, a Robinson helicopter, drones with thermal imagers, and divers to survey the water area. Thousands of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Russian National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, and other agencies were involved.
It is noteworthy that volunteers from other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District took an active part in the search: Dagestan, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Ingushetia, and the Stavropol Territory. According to Chechen media, volunteers from Dagestan noted that they could not remain on the sidelines when they heard about the misfortune in the fraternal republic.
It is reported that the boy was found dead - the cause of death was drowning. Law enforcement agencies noted that Dzhabrail had developmental disabilities and did not make contact with strangers.
The incident caused a strong resonance among residents of the region and recalled a recent case in Syktyvkar, where two schoolchildren were found in the Vychegda River three days later with no signs of life after they went swimming and did not return.
