A Palestinian national-cultural autonomy has been registered in Chechnya
The elder of the Palestinian community in Chechnya, Alhag Nesef, was presented with a certificate of state registration of the NGO "Local public organization of the national-cultural autonomy of Palestinians of Grozny." This was reported by the Minister of National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information of the Republic, Akhmed Dudayev, who presented the document.

The Minister called the Chechen Republic "a common home for all religions and peoples," emphasizing that it "has not had any conflict situations" with representatives of various nationalities and faiths.

"In the context of external threats and provocations against our country, attempts are being made to create conflict situations on interethnic and interreligious grounds. We are monitoring these attempts. Our task is to protect peace and stability in the republic," Dudayev said.

Today, there are over 200 residents of the Gaza Strip living in Chechnya, who had to move from Palestine due to the outbreak of Israeli military action. In Chechnya, they are being built houses, helped to find work, and enrolled in kindergartens, schools, and universities.

In June, the Russian authorities allocated over 57 million rubles to nine regions of the country, including Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, to reimburse the costs of receiving and accommodating citizens from Palestine. The amount allocated per person is 1,328 rubles per day, as is the case for Ukrainian refugees, starting in 2022 and continuing until this year.

“Russia’s position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is known and has been stated very clearly on more than one occasion. It is not of any opportunistic nature related to the current situation. It is based on the decisions of the UN Security Council, which provide for the creation of two independent sovereign states: Israel and Palestine,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said in October 2023.
