The British Embassy in Georgia responded to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's statement that London should apologize for a "fake" spread by the BBC. This refers to the British Broadcasting Corporation's controversial report alleging that Georgian authorities used a World War I-era chemical weapon called "kamit" to suppress anti-government protests.
Underground gunsmiths found in four regions of the North Caucasus Federal District
The security forces seized almost 400 barrels from underground gunsmiths in 44 regions, including Dagestan, Ingushetia, KBR and Stavropol. In particular, 399 firearms of domestic and foreign production were seized: three machine guns, 46 assault rifles, 36 submachine guns, 107 rifles, carbines and shotguns, 207 pistols and revolvers. As well as Igla MANPADS, Fagot ATGMs, 2 Konkurs ATGM missiles, 19 grenade launchers and flamethrowers, five anti-personnel mines, 140 hand grenades, 109 detonators, fuses and fuses of various modifications.
More than 59 kg of explosives (gunpowder, TNT), 387 artillery shells, over 71 thousand cartridges of various calibers, 517 main parts for firearms were found.
