Many beaches in Dagestan closed for swimming

Due to non-compliance with hygienic requirements for microbiological indicators, popular beaches in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk are closed for swimming. This decision was made by the Rospotrebnadzor Department for Dagestan.

In particular, swimming is prohibited in the following places on the coastal strip of Makhachkala: "City Beach", "Berezka", "Priboy", "Dzhami", "Chernye Kamni", the suburban beach of the village of Turali, Pesochnaya Street. In Kaspiysk, the facility near the Nauka boarding house, city beach No. 2, Naberezhnaya Street, the beach for children, "Sanatorium Energetik", "Laguna" are closed.

Rospotrebnadzor emphasizes that the authorities and balance holders of beach areas have been issued orders to carry out additional measures for sanitary treatment and ensure the safety of vacationers. The agency has decided to install signs “On the prohibition of people swimming in sea water” and not to ignore the prohibition on swimming in places where the water quality does not meet sanitary standards.
