The EU announced the start of a mission in Armenia.

The European Union has launched a civilian mission to Armenia, which should contribute to the settlement of the situation with Azerbaijan. The observers comprise about 100 persons. 
Earlier, the Kremlin reacted negatively to the presence of European representatives on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. However, Yerevan considered this event more important than relations with Moscow. 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reported that the mission should not be used to undermine the normalization of relations with Armenia, including the border delimitation process. Its activities should be carried out in a manner that does not undermine mutual trust.
