In Germany, a Chechen helped to neutralize a woman who attacked passersby with a knife

A native of Chechnya, Abu-Bakar-Siddik Agayev, was the first to knock the knife out of the hands of a woman who attacked visitors to the main train station of Hamburg in Germany. Before that, she managed to injure 18 people.

“I was seeing my cousin off, as usual, and we were standing there waiting for the train. Suddenly, we saw a woman with a knife heading towards us, she looked inadequate. This woman was already running towards us and stabbing everyone in her path. I managed to knock the knife out of her hands and held it until the authorities arrived. In general, she did not resist. It was obvious that she had mental problems,” Agayev said.

He added that a Syrian, Mohammad al-Mohammad, helped him restrain the woman.

The incident occurred on May 23. The motives of the attacker are unknown. According to German media, she suffers from a psychiatric disorder. The police and local authorities expressed gratitude to the two men. It was their determination that helped avoid more victims, the authorities emphasized.
