A Russian flag was burned during a protest in Georgia

Near the parliament building in Tbilisi, protesters burned the flags of the Russian Federation and the ruling Georgian Dream party. The participants again opposed the adoption of the law on foreign agents, which is called pro-Russian.

Earlier, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili vetoed the above-mentioned law, adopted by the country's parliament on May 14.

“This law, which is Russian in its essence and spirit, contradicts our Constitution and all European standards and, thus, represents an obstacle to our European path. This veto is fully justified legally. This law must be repealed,” Zurabishvili said.

Let us remember that the ruling Georgian Dream party was founded by billionaire, former citizen of the Russian Federation Bidzina Ivanishvili. He is called the shadow master of Georgia and a usurper of power. After the adoption of the law on foreign agents, Western countries hinted at sanctions against Ivanishvili. His daughter Gvantsa has changed her name (now she is Vivien) and is trying to obtain US citizenship, reports the opposition Georgian TV channel Pirveli.

Gvantsa-Vivien Ivanishvili has been living in the USA for ten years. She is a psychologist by profession and works as an art therapist at the Mosaic rehabilitation center in Chicago. Of Ivanishvili’s four children, three live abroad: Uta in France, Bera in Brazil, and the third daughter in the USA.
