Berlin has recalled its ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, for consultations. The decision, made by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadepoel, is intended to determine how to proceed, the ministry announced.

Another opposition protest against the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26 took place in Tbilisi. Participants gathered in front of the appellate court, which was considering claims to annul the results at some polling stations due to violations. The court postponed the hearing of the cases until November 6.
In addition, opposition members of the Central Election Commission of Georgia demanded that new elections be held. They called on the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Giorgi Kalandarishvili to convene a meeting of the commission, at which the past parliamentary elections will be declared invalid. The main reason is the violation of the secrecy of the ballot and the privacy of voters during the elections.
The Central Election Commission of Georgia called on all those who claim any violations during the past elections to provide evidence to the investigative bodies.
“In the absence of evidence, the motives of the authors of these accusations become questionable. Without substantiation, these allegations threaten to mislead the public and undermine confidence in the electoral process,” the statement reads.
