Georgian Dream Supports Trump as Enemy of Deep State and Radical Opposition
Georgian MP Levan Machavariani shared a chain of conclusions about the relationship between the country's so-called radical opposition and the new US administration. The Georgian Dream member stood up for the head of the White House, calling him an enemy of the Deep State and, as a result, the supporters of the network represented by the radical opposition.

"The radical opposition is under the control of the Deep State. They implement its policies, carry out its tasks, etc. Accordingly, when Mr. Trump is an enemy of the Deep State, then, of course, Mr. Trump automatically becomes an enemy of the radical opposition. And they receive tasks from the Deep State to sow this narrative [criticism of Trump] in Georgia and use harsh words against the current US president," Machavariani explained.

However, the MP expressed hope that one day the European Union would also begin to fight the Deep State and that the radical opposition would ultimately be left without external patrons.

In early January, the Georgian Dream political council published a collective statement that spoke at length about the Deep State conspiracy theory. According to the statement, it is the Deep State that is behind the "global war party." The authors note that "over the past 4 years, it is the Deep State that has destroyed not only America, but also many other countries in the world." However, according to the ruling party's political council, the mysterious global network has not defeated the Georgian authorities, and therefore the country.

The statement also mentions US President Donald Trump, who has been entrusted with the mission of fighting the Deep State.

"Trump's successful fulfillment of the task of eradicating the Deep State can ensure a significant reboot of Georgian-American relations. In Europe, it will take much longer to remove the metastases of the Deep State," the text says.
