Ingushetia explains mobile internet outages by drone attack threats

Residents of Ingushetia continue to experience problems with mobile internet, which began in July. Many report a virtually complete lack of connection, which makes it difficult to use instant messengers, banking applications, and taxi services.

The republic's authorities explain the restrictions by the introduction of a high alert regime due to the threat of drone attacks. The Ministry of Industry and Communications reports that the restrictions have been introduced near certain facilities for security purposes, and warns of possible delays when using mobile internet. At the same time, the department claims that wired internet and voice communications are working stably.

Earlier, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov reported that internet outages are justified, and the restrictions are related to the safety of citizens.
