On July 4, 2025, the suspect and the organizer of the group attempted to attack a traffic police officer in Nalchik in order to seize his weapon. During the incident, the organizer was killed, and the minor suspect was detained while attempting to escape. The head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Kazbek Kokov, explained the attack on traffic police officers in Nalchik as “attempts to destroy the country.”
