The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
On the morning of August 24, in Bakhchisaray and the Bakhchisarai region, Russian security forces broke into the houses of Crimean Tatars with searches. The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, wrote about this in his telegram channel.
“This is revenge on the Crimean Tatars for the third summit of the Crimean Platform held in Kyiv and their own fear of the inevitable liberation of Crimea,” Chubarov said.
On August 23, the third international summit of the Crimean Platform took place in Kyiv. It was dedicated to the restoration of the future of Crimea and security.
Earlier, the Center for National Resistance reported that “counter-sabotage” measures, that is, repressions against the local population, are intensifying in Crimea. More than 100 residents of the peninsula were detained on suspicion of "disloyalty."
